The original Studio City property, recently remodeled to look exactly like the sitcom inside and out, just got snatched up at a bargain price.

Which just sold for 42 percent under its asking price in the latest example of the current real estate slump amid the highest mortgage rates in two decades …
Okay, so those lyrics don’t exactly flow, let alone rhyme. But that’s what happened to the famed Brady Bunch house (photos below), which just got snatched up for $3.2 million — $2.3 million off its $5.5 million asking price.
The 1959 Studio City home became iconic after its exterior was used for the 1969 sitcom. In 2018, HGTV purchased the house for $3.5 million and remodeled its exterior and interior to look like exactly like the beloved series (the sitcom’s interior shots were filmed inside a studio).
The new owner, Tina Trahan, plans to use the home for charity events, and luxury rental. “It was a nostalgic purchase she just had to have,” says her agents at Douglas Elliman. Indeed, the property seems readymade for the Airbnb-Instagram market.
The listing described “a once in a lifetime opportunity” to buy the house that’s “reportedly the second most photographed home in the USA after the White House,” one that’s a complete replica of the show from “the bright orange formica kitchen counters, to the blue bunk beds and pink twin beds, and let’s not forget about the groovy attic.” The house was listed with Marcy Roth and Fredrik Eklund of The Eklund | Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman.
Some downsides: “Fireplaces and some appliances/Fixtures are decorative only.”
HGTV’s remodel was chronicled in the show A Very Brady Remodel, which included actors from the series helping transform the house over the course of nearly a year. One tricky aspect: The house was only a single story and the show’s interior sets depicted a two-story home along with that iconic staircase, which meant expanding the property to 5,140 square feet and adding a second story.
